She added that “Zelensky expressed his thanks and appreciation for the decision of the Saudi leadership to provide an additional humanitarian aid package to Ukraine in the amount of 400 million dollars, which will contribute to alleviating the suffering of Ukrainian citizens in light of the crisis the country is going through, and stressed that this humanitarian aid is evidence of the Saudi Crown Prince’s commitment to He was keen to contribute to alleviating human suffering, and the Ukrainian people will not forget these noble humanitarian stances that prove the friendship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine.
The agency stated that Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed “the kingdom’s position in support of everything that contributes to de-escalation, and the kingdom’s readiness to continue its mediation efforts.”
On his Twitter account, Zelensky said that he had spoken to the Saudi crown prince and thanked him for supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity by endorsing the UN General Assembly resolution, adding: “We agreed to release a group of prisoners of war and provide financial aid to Ukraine.”
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, last month, the release of “ten prisoners” of citizens of Morocco, the United States, Britain, Sweden and Croatia, as part of a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine mediated by Saudi Arabia.
