This came in an interview that Raissouni gave on the Arabi 21 website, which the union carried on its official website, where he was asked: “How do you see the ongoing reconciliations in the region between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Iran and others? Can the union contribute to promoting those reconciliations?” We hope that the aforementioned reconciliations will be true and correct, and we hope for them success and permanence, and we hope to expand them so that they permeate all Arab countries, including Morocco and Algeria. An exception, and all this we are happy with and support, and we do not interfere in these reconciliations, but we bless them from afar, and no one asked us to interfere in them.
On the extent to which the union was affected by its classification on the lists of terrorism, Raissouni said: “Our work in these same countries, which are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE, was affected, as almost all of our members in these countries were forced to freeze their membership in the union, some of them are detained until now, and some of them wrote to us declaring Their exit from the union, and they are naturally compelled and excused for that, and therefore there are no workers for the union in those countries, and no one can say that he is a member of the union, but we are sure that the scholars of these countries have their hearts and minds with us, and their prayers are with us, until it clears up. this night.”
Raissouni touched on the extent to which Islamic movements have been affected by hostile campaigns in recent years, saying: “Islamic movements have had a negative impact in the Arab countries where they were subjected to demonization and abuse. The Arab Spring was produced by the Arab peoples, and the Arab hell was produced by the Arab regimes, in response to the Spring of the peoples, but as we say in the Moroccan proverb (the situation is permanent). It is a century old, and it went through many periods during which it experienced setbacks and setbacks, but it was resurrected and rose afterwards, and this will happen soon, God willing.”
