A source inside Al-Ahly club revealed that the administration of the Red Castle, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, had received official approval to attend 21,000 fans for the first team football match against ES Setif, scheduled for next Saturday.

A source said, in exclusive statements to Laila Koura, that Saad Shalaby made great efforts to follow up on the contacts made by the club’s president, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, to obtain the full capacity of the stadium.
He added, “The stadium has a capacity of 27,000 fans, but the stands of the second degree are closed due to unfinished reforms. Therefore, the approval came in the presence of 21,000 fans, provided that the door to sell tickets to fans will be opened during the next few hours on the application for this matter.”
Al-Ahly will face its counterpart ES Setif next Saturday in the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League on Al-Ahly We Are Al-Salam, and the return match will be Saturday, May 14th.
Al-Ahly is scheduled to enter a closed camp early tomorrow, based on the consultations that took place between Pitso Musimani and Mahmoud Al-Khatib, provided that the technical staff will invest in this camp and implement the physical and technical programs that it deems appropriate from his point of view.
