Roma swept its Norwegian guest Bodo Glimt 4-0 today, Thursday, to qualify for the semi-finals of the European Football Conference Championship.
Within the second leg of the quarter-finals of the tournament, the French team Marseille and Feyenoord of the Netherlands qualified for the semi-finals, after defeating Greek PAOK and Czech Slavia Prague 1 / 0 and 3-1, respectively, to complete the contract of the semi-finalists, which Leicester City was the first to qualify for it after its victory Earlier today, Thursday, the Dutch Eindhoven 2-1.
Roma managed to make up for its 1-2 loss in the first leg, to qualify for the semi-finals, winning 5/2 on aggregate.
Roma advanced through Tammy Abraham in the fifth minute, before Niccolo Zaniolo added three goals in the 23rd, 29th and 50th minutes.
In another match, the French Marseille confirmed its superiority over the Greek PAOK, after winning it 1-0 at home.
Dimitri Payet scored the only goal of the match for Marseille in the 34th minute, to confirm the superiority of his team, which won the first leg at home 2-1.
Feyenoord of the Netherlands also managed to reach the same round, after beating its host, Slavia Prague, Czech Republic 3/1.
The first leg ended 3/3, with Feyenoord winning 6/4 on aggregate.
Cyril Desires advanced to Feyenoord in the fourth minute, before Brahim Traore equalized for Slavia in the 14th minute.
In the 60th minute, Desires scored the second goal for Feyenoord, before Luis Sinestra sealed his team’s hat-trick in the 78th minute.
With these results, the semi-finals will witness two matches, the first between English Leicester City and Italy’s Roma, and the second will play the Dutch Feyenoord with French Marseille.
